Day 150

17.1 miles to Upper Goose Pond Cabin. Today ended up being 18+ miles with taking trails out of the campground and into the cabin. It was a long day but I didn’t have to use my headlamp. I was upset with how long it took me and how slow I go compared to everyone else and was just very frustrated with myself. Intellectually I can compare where I am now and what I can do (18 miles in 13 hours with a full pack!) to where I was at the beginning (10 miles was impossible and lead to a lot of tears), but it’s still very hard to get out of the emotional headspace when hiking and in the feelings. I was also upset because I had wanted to get to the cabin early so I could enjoy some relaxation there and that’s just not possible with 18 miles.
