Day 140

13.1 miles to Appalachian trail market. Today was definitely better, we passed Bear Mountain, through the zoo and the lowest point on the AT. After crossing the Hudson River we went up for what felt like forever but did get to meet some of the trail builders of the Jolly Rovers Trail Crew, including Artie. We were planning to grab a bit at the Appalachian Trail Deli which is right on trail for dinner, but about a mile out SourPatch got stung by a hornet. By the time we got there he had hives and some swelling, so instead of finish the hike DogTag took us to urgent care. After some steroids he was feeling better, but we felt like staying near to a hospital in case there was rebound would be safest. After a couple of hours his hives were completely gone and he was feeling back to normal, but now we both will be carrying Epi Pens
