Day 138-139

Written on Jul 12th 2025 at 4:00 AM

These past few days have been some of the hardest we have had. The trail is rocky, steep, thorny and unrelenting. Other places that have been like this felt like it was mixed in with at least some nice trail, or good views and there has been little to none of that. Making me contemplate why we are here. Also it feels shocking, we knew about Rocksylvania, have been hearing about the Whites, but I don’t remember hearing anything about how difficult NY starts off. I chatted with Father Time who hiked this section last year and now and said he was also shocked at how many people quit in this area-which I totally feel. Made me feel like at least it isn’t just me struggling. We did pass the 1400 mile mark, so we are ticking down the miles
