Day 137

10.3 miles to Wildcat Shelter. We had bagels and got some to pack out for lunch, which should have set us up for a good day. Steady is making a trip home and Dogtag is going for a follow up, so that took a little time to get organized. Me and Sourpatch will be staying on trail the next couple nights so we have to carry full pack but with less food. Lots more rough climbs including iron bars, rough Rocky’s and poorly blazed trail. At one point about 2 miles from the shelter I said if I had to go over one more rock pile I was going to just sleep in the leaves. We did officially cross into NY today. Met a lovely lady who is taking portraits of AT hikers and wants to make a book, so that was neat. It was nice tenting on trail and cooking and such.
