Day 120

17.2 slack pack south from Clarks Valley Rd. Today was hotter, we started with a climb and then were along a ridge for the day. Not a lot of breeze which made it even worse. We did have trail magic with Twizzler who had snacks and homemade banana bread which was fantastic. Coming into town was a long bridge and road walk which was the worst because it’s so exposed. We had ice cream and slushies at the same place which was helped cool us down, then back to the hostel. Father Time bought pizza which was shared with Ambassador, Blue Jeans, Ahoy, and Sad Soup. Ahoy and I had an interesting convo about privy’s-so much info that I never thought to ask. It was really nice to sit around a table and hang out and chat with everyone. Lately I have been trying to enjoy the hikes more, but also what makes the hike-seeing towns, talking to other hikers, appreciating trail Magic, roadside fruit stands. Those are the things I am out here to savor and so I am making an effort to not get so caught up in the miles that I forget that.
