Day 111

18.1 slackpackto Turners Gap. Out of WV and into MD. Sourpatch and I strolled through Harper’s Ferry to enjoy the historical architecture, crossed the Potomac River and had a walk along the Canal Towpath. Very flat but so many mosquitos. The rest of the day seemed to go on forever, but it was also a lot of nice trail with lots of day hikers and bigger miles. We ended with Adam, a friend of DogTag is carrying a DogTag for who offered to bring us dinner, then offered to let us stay with him, which we gladly accepted. He had 2 dogs-Marley and Bindi and 2 cats-George Washington and Whiskers who we very much spoiled with lots of pets. I did decide that any future cats will be named after Hamilton characters.
