Day 69

10.7 miles to Jenkins Shelter. It stormed overnight and we were so glad to be in a shelter with 4 walls and a door. 2 folks rented and we expected them to come in but they weathered the storm. There was a gorgeous sunrise this morning, with views from the privy. Today’s hike was pretty flat overall, small ups and downs. Steady hiked with me for a bit and doled out relationship advice which was very wise and reasonable. It poured for a bit and I learned that the rain skirt should go under the jacket or else all the water runs down the skirt into your pants. Had early dinner and watched rain from inside the shelter.
