Day 63

10.9 miles to hurricane mtn shelter. Today was an amazing day. We slept in and woke up well rested. On the way out we saw a group of Boy Scouts and chatted with them. The weather was lovely, I saw ponies again, the terrain was very manageable. I really love hiking through the pines and along little streams, and since I knew we didn’t have a big day I just took my time and enjoyed myself. It was only me and Sourpatch and Steady at the shelter again. We haven’t seen hardly anyone other thru hikers in the past 2 days which is a little odd, but I am sure they are out there.
