Day 61

14.4 miles to Elk Garden. Today steady hiked with me almost all day which was delightful. At the shelter we stopped at for lunch there were 2 stray dogs who seemed friendly, she tried to get the puppy to rescue him but wasn’t successful. There was a lot of rain and thunderstorms, and we were goi g to tent but the forecast called for 2 inches of rain so we called Harbor Site Inn and got shuttle. Having a hot shower and comfy bed was amazing and it did rain a lot overnight so we were happy with our decision. We met Unicorn, a CW-5 hiking with Warrior Expeditions.
