Day 54

Slack pack 13.2 to FA 293. Crossed over 400 miles today!!! We slack packed for the first time today-most hostels charge for shuttle and an extra night so we have been avoiding it mostly due to expense. The refuge hostel does 9 or 12 miles for free and then you can walk off into the woods. So much easier and faster hiking without 35 pounds. We got to see some fun waterfalls. The day was pretty warm and so instead of continuing to the shelter we planned on staying at, April said we could tent back at the hostel. Worked out perfectly because now we have a large group to aqua blaze on Monday!
