10.8 miles to No Business Shelter. Cold Start this morning but the weather ended up sunny and 60, great hiking weather. Today we passed the most destruction from Hurricane Helene that we have seen. It looked like a giant had a tantru and swept an entire hillside of trees down. Heartbreaking to see. The Carolina Mountain Club maintains this section and done an absolutely amazing job making the trail not just passable, but walkable. We didn’t have to go over, under, around or through any blowdowns at all. They must have spent countless hours to make the trail safe.
