Day 42

6.7 miles to Flint Mountain shelter. Woke up to heavy rain. We weren’t sure if we were goi g to even try to hike today-there’s been thunderstorms on the radar. But the rain cleared and looked good for a few hours, and none of us wanted another long day so we decided to head out. Overall easy day. Got to the shelter around lunch time and we set up our ground covers to help block wind, got to stretch and relax. We did see a red eft salamander!
