Day 39

- We wanted to stay in hot springs for an extra day, both for rest and recovery and to spend money and support the community since it was hit so hard by the hurricane. This night we stayed at Elmer’s sunny bank inn, a 160 year old house. Super quirky and just a cool place, it must have been amazing a few years ago when Elmer was still doing breakfast. we got some Things at the bluff mountain outfitter, resupply at hillbilly grocery, but most importantly Sour Patch, steady and I spent an hour soaking in the minerals baths this town is named for. It was amazing and relaxing. They are still rebuilding, the area where the floods washed away is under construction. We were glad to be able to support such great community who supports hikers.
