Day 35

7.2 miles to Groundhog Creek. Started off the day with Princess Peach and her husband who is visiting her taking me, Will, Steady and Left Field to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, so today we hiked powered by pancakes! We squared up at Standing Bear, then got back on trail. The first 4 miles were solid up, I kept trying to remind myself that we just did the Smokies so this should be reasonable, but it was still hard. Had some good views on the top of the mountain. My friend Kellie came up from SC and hiked in and camped with us!! So nice to see a friend!! Since it was a short day we had plenty of time to chat and hang out and stretch before bed.

Also-trail names are a thing here on the AT, so much that I don’t even know most peoples government name. I am Mosey-I go slow and take my time and look at flowers and bugs and views. Will is Sourpatch cause sometime he is sweet and sometimes he is sour.
