Day 98

6/12/21 Slept well in the Sam Moore Shelter shared with a woman hiker from Las Vegas. Group of Boy Scouts came in late and set up there tents in the rain. I never heard them. Rain stopped by morning time and continued to hike on the roller coaster which was not hard. Foggy initially than cloudy and damp the rest of the day but not hot. Lots of day hikers and kids hiking to Bears Den Rock as it was a Saturday. Loud Cicadas heard. Crossed into West Virginia after going thru Snickers Gap. Had lunch at Raven View. Went to David Lester Memorial Shelter. Tomorrow hike 9 miles to Harper’s Ferry and will see Dad, Sandy and my Sister Paula has graciously agreed to drive them.
