5/7/21 Short hike to where I was picked up by Bubba to go to Bland,VIRGINIA to get my new tent and resupply. Tent was at Big Walker Motel but package Michele sent wasn’t there or at post office. Really mad. Motel was okay. Eagle and her group were there and happy to see Piper. No laundry so did it in the bathtub but really didn’t dry. Got a Pizza delivered.

5/8/21 Called post office and they state they got the package. Owner of the motel stopped there to get it and they said they didn’t have it. What? He said he would drive me to the post office. He seemed strange and challenged me that I thought he was lying.Whole thing weird. Refused to take Piper in the car left her in the room and they had the package but it was like they didn’t want to tell him. Got he dropped me off at a very small supermarket than went to dollar store back to motel Piper was fine. Repacked whole thing stressful. Looks like limited water on the trail so went the short distance to Helveys Mill Shelter 0.3 miles off AT and then 3 miles to get water so decided to stay there. Basically a wasted day.
