Another drizzly day following some recent sunny days. Really appreciating these walls and windows knowing how wet the AT is and my luck on the trail. Every section hike i ever did got rain, so hopefully ive learned enough... Been working hard at the honeydo list; ive taken down all the maple taps, pruned some trees off the lilacs, finished a euro mount, also put up a fence to keep the dogs out of my greenhouse. Getting all my final prep and packing done. Blue knows something is up and is subtly shpwing his interest.
The time is nearing; soon I will be heading down to Georgia to start my northbound trip along the Appalachian Trail. My new shoes and clothing has arrived and everything is looking great. The color scheme is a bit dark and im sure my grandfather would get a rise out of the black, he is always the guy in bright reds and yellows. This achy body isnt feeling 100% despite training and frequent visits to the chiropractor. Nerves about the worn body may be worse than the old vessel. Did 2 hours out in the wond driven rain today, not so bad when the couch and a warm blanket is waiting for you.
