Liz is the name and hiking is the game. Born and raised in Michigan. Found my way out to the west coast in San Diego. Went to college for Aviation and received my pilot license when I was eighteen. My senior year I decided that it was meant to be a hobby and not my career path so I ended up getting a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration with a minor in Outdoor Leadership. I've spent many days in the backcountry on group excursions and leading youth. This will be my first time doing a solo thru-hike on the Pacific Crest Trail..... but I've heard you're never really alone on the trail. :)
