We had a full day in Bend today and took advantage. Mackenzie and I grabbed some coffee from a spot in downtown that was quintessential Oregon. Lets just say their book selection was very curated. After coffee and some bagels, we wandered to and REI to see if they had some new shoes for Mackenzie and poked around some stores before heading back to downtown.

Our bar crawl then started and we went from place to place trying all the local beers. We definitely had our fill… it was a blast walking around and seeing the river that runs through Bend, trying local foods, and lounging. We ended the day at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Were all fat and happy back at the hotel. There’s a PCT discount that gives us 2 nights additional stay for $40. Our wallets are happy.

Happy town days…

It was our last full day in Bend today and we hit just about every possible spot in the small town. We had coffee, went to a pool bar, an arcade, an ice cream parlor, a gallery, the river walk, the LAST blockbuster in the world, and finished the day at the local pizza spot. It’s been a nice time to relax but we’re both ready to get back on the trail.
