Pinecone tossing contest records: Tim: 5 Vee: 3

We spent most of the day descending through pine forests down toward Sierra City. We made up the game “Cone Toss” where you harpoon pine cones with your trekking pole, toss the pine cone in front of you down trail, and have to keep harpooning the same pinecone as many times in a row as you can. This kept us occupied for hours, whenever there were large pine cones around.
