Day 95

Written on Jun 21st 2022 at 2:02 AM

I hiked 27.5 miles today. I’m staying at a hostel tonight I hiked through Norwich, Vermont then I crossed the Connecticut river and came into Hanover, New Hampshire. I now have just two states left to do. Hanover is a college town so I felt kinda out of place there even though the trail goes right through it. It’s seemed like an upscale town and there were a lot of college kids who didn’t even acknowledge me when I said hello as I walked by oh well that’s alright. The hostel I’m staying at is called the Hanover adventure tours hostel and they picked me up at a grocery in Hanover and brought me here which is really nice. This morning I walked through a couple fields which is always a little bit annoying in the morning because it’s all wet so my pants got wet and there was a very short section where the trail was very overgrown and trees branches were covering the trail so I had to push them aside as I walked by. Other then that very short section I had mostly smooth, wide open, pine needle covered trails it was very nice compared to rocky trails. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
