Day 85

I hiked 25.4 miles today. This is only the second time I hiked one hundred miles in four days. I passed the 1,500 mile marker today. I’m now at Brassie Brook shelter at mile 1,507.9. I have less than 700 miles to go now. There was a place called Mountainside cafe that was really close to the trail today so I had lunch there. I had some quesadillas and fries and a burger it’s an odd mix but they were still good. Maybe it’s the feeling that I still have a very long way to go or the fact that it’s getting harder to remember what it’s like to eat dinner with the family or hang out with friends but I’ve been kinda depressed and discouraged. Right now it feels like this is the only life I’ve ever lived and home, family, friends, and normal life feels like a different lifetime. I might be a little dramatic in saying all that but it all really does feel like another lifetime a long long time ago. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
