Day 77

Written on Jun 3rd 2022 at 12:55 AM

I hiked 31.3 miles today. Today started foggy and wet trails so my feet got wet pretty early on which is not a good thing. About 6 miles in I passed the town of Delaware water gap and the Delaware river also going on the bridge over the Delaware river right in the middle of the bridge I crossed the state line into New Jersey so goodbye Pennsylvania and hello northern states. A couple miles after I got back into the woods I passed the 1,300 mile marker. That’s right less than 900 miles to go. I stopped at a retreat center that had a deli for lunch so I had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and some snacks for lunch a nice change from the usual peanut butter and honey bagels. Not gonna lie it was a tough day today my feet were feeling pretty bad from lunch till I got to the shelter. There was one point I was practically walking through a stream but it was the trail there was just water flowing down the trail. I’m not as tired as I thought I’d be however I’m still tired. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.
