Day 64

I hiked 20.5 miles today. It was a surprisingly nice hike I felt pretty good the whole time. Usually after zero days I feel slow but not today. There was a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch but all that happened was thunder once or twice and rain for about 45 minutes but that was over lunch time so I stayed dry in a shelter. I walked across what looked and smelt like very new bridges it was a kinda nice fresh wet wood smell. Anita and her kids had been close to the trail today so we got to get together and visit a little which was super cool and fun. I’m just so blessed to have such amazing family and friends to encourage and push me on especially when it gets hard. I want to thank you all for being a blessing to me even when I don’t deserve it.
