I hiked 17.6 miles today. It was nice this morning which was unexpected but it got worse as the day went on it rained it was kinda foggy and now it’s cold. I’m staying at the highest shelter on the AT tonight which is kinda cool literally and figuratively and mentally???. The shelter is kinda like a small log cabin on top of a mountain. The fog was like a wall at the cliff I looked out over, it looked like I could lean against it. I saw another little American flag today. I’m hoping my stuff dries out a little bit tonight so I can start decently early tomorrow. We shall see.
