Day 41

The weather on this day was just incredible! It was sunny and calm all day and in the mid-40s for most of it. Today had it all: road crossings, wild daffodils, waterfalls, big climbs, well maintained trail, incredible views, and even a trail maintenance crew giving me an apple. I so appreciate those guys! The only downside to today was that I ran out of TP. I decided to go into town a couple days early and resupply so I stopped at Sam’s Gap and got a shuttle into Erwin, TN. After some town food, resupply, and now ready for a good night’s rest in a bed, I’ll be back on trail early in the morning and want to push bigger miles to get to Carver’s Gap before the projected rain and snow coming Saturday. Wish me luck!
