Day 15

Wow, a lot of stuff happened today. I hiked 21 miles today and am feeling pretty tired. It was kinda cold all day there was frost or little snowflakes on the ground for part of the trail. Today is the day I went passed the highest point on the Appalachian trail. I did another state switch. I’m in Tennessee now. Planning on doing 20.3 miles tomorrow we’ll see if I am able to do it. A God moment happened this morning. I had lost a ziplock bag that had my license, debit card, and some cash last evening somewhere on the trail and I didn’t realize it till I got to the shelter I was going to and I was a little worried. So I had prayed a lot asking God for direction and wisdom on how to handle it. I ended up going to bed trusting that God would guide me and provide for me. Well he did the next morning or this morning a hiker walked into the shelter at like 7:15 and asked if Carson was there and I was. He then handed me that ziplock bag with everything in it. I couldn’t do anything but thank him and thank and praise the Lord. The weird thing is the closest shelter behind where I was was like 6 miles away which means he would have had to started at 5 o’clock or so which nobody does and I didn’t see him again which is also weird cause I hiked 21 miles and he would’ve had to hike at least 34 miles from the shelter behind me this morning to the shelter ahead of me. Unless he went to town at one of the gaps. Which is possible. But I was pretty overwhelmed by Gods goodness. I just thought I’d share that story with you.
