PCT miles today - 24

Saw Bounce and Blue in AM. Lovely hike - lots of snow flowers! It’s actually a fungus growing from the roots of red fir trees. Prettiest fungus we’ve seen. Craggy mountains, lovely lakes. Ebbetts Pass - greeted by amazing trail angels!

A day hiker handing out Oreo’s to thru hikers told us there was a free lunch setup at Ebbetts Pass parking lot until 3pm. It was 2pm and 3 miles uphill to the highway. We hauled ass and were dripping sweat, but arrived in time for nachos, tacos, hamburgers, fresh fruit, etc. really hit the spot. Chris went straight to watermelon. Rick to tacos. We were so low on food we are not sure what we would have done without this trail magic. Sweet.

Met Coach, Squirt and Kyle also enjoying trail angel food. We will push to get to Echo Summit parking to meet Mark on Monday, not Tuesday - running out of food.
