Day 12

Today we woke very early and got the day started. The climbs were intense all day. It was the first day that it felt like the AT. Thin Mint agreed. We all had agreed to stop and wait at the rockslide and so we did. I arrived first and waited. There was a giant Boulder that fell and there was no safe way around it except for a rope. We each took turns and made it.

The climbing was nonstop and very tiring. We finally stopped for lunch and then got water at the next spring. I met another Sabrina who started on the 27th and was going very fast. The rest of the hike was easy from the spring. We decided to go back into Idyllwild and walked the steep Devil’s slide trail down to town. We went to the pub and met up with Becca, Sabrina, Kara (now Mosey), Tiger Blood, Brianna, and Pumba. It was great to see everyone. I think they’ll all catch up.

We went back to the cabin and made our own pizzas and then our own cookie dough ice cream. I was so tired and packed it in early.
