Reached the 200 mile mark today. Cold night in the mid twenties last night with the same expected for tonight. Smokies started looking more like we expected today with lots Fraser Firs and spectacular views especially from the tower on top of Clingman’s.

Tried to get off trail and into Gatlinburg today but it was a Saturday and all the hotels were either booked or too expensive so we hiked on. Highpoint of the day was Charlie’s Bunion which is what is pictured.
