We started our adventure after receiving the royal treatment from Marty and Paul Roessler including airport pickup, delicious dinner and breakfast, great company and delivery to the southern terminus bright and early. We were lucky to have a cool, breezy first day and made our way to Lake Morena Malt Shop for gluten free hamburger and a shake. Can’t imagine the climb out of Hauser Canyon on a hot day. Encountered our first two trail snakes, loads of beautiful flowers and even some butterflies. Camped just beyond the campground. Going to bed early.
