Day -1 for epic hike of the Appalachian Trail. My wife Shelley and I hike the East Ridge Trail, The AT approach at Amicalola Falls, saw the lower Amicalola Falls Ovservation, Top of the Falls, and did my At check-in with Ranger Bob. Everything looks good to go for my official start tomorrow morning.

I can't believe the day is finally here. A year of planning. It will be extremely difficult to say good bye to Shelley. She has done so much for me and I can't thank her enough.

One last evening at the lodge and I'll be off. I hope I can get to sleep this evening. In pins and needles for sure.
