We were treated to a home cooked breakfast before being shuttled back to the trail at Tellico Gap. Unfortunately we guessed wrong about the rain and it didn’t even start until after we were back on trail. It would have made more sense to stay overnight tonight at the NOC which is what most of the other hikers near us were doing. Since most everything was already sold out we instead stopped for a meal at the restaurant and then kept on hiking in the rain. Near the end of the day the rain let up as we climbed above the clouds and got some incredible views. Another great day on the AT!
