Day 1 - 6 miles

First day on the trail today. The 3,000 foot climb from Montezuma Pass to the junction with Miller Peak was killer.

Pack is sitting around 35 lbs. first water is available at bathtub spring. Nice views all around on the clear day today. Still some snow on the northern slopes around Miller.
