There’s roughly 2 months til my PCT start date. I was supposed to hike it last year... but COVID. So here we are. All I can think about is the small dirt path I’ll be on and what I want to be carrying on my back. Everyone is doing this thing for various reasons; my reasons include the hike, but moreso the ins and outs of the experience. Hiking is the medium to get there. I’m looking forward to the songs made up on trail, the interactions between folks on trail, and seeing how my heart resets on trail.
So here’s a photo of the gear I was going to hike with last year, wrapped in memories of adventuring in place.
