The Florida Trail (Florida National Scenic Trail) is a long-distance route across Florida, commonly described as about 1,500 miles. It stretches between Gulf Islands National Seashore (near Fort Pickens) and Big Cypress National Preserve (southern terminus at the Oasis Visitor Center area), weaving through swamps, pine flatwoods, prairies, and subtropical ecosystems.
