There's a list of Trail Angels and their numbers at Blue Ridge Parkway / Skyline Drive when you get to Waynesboro. Dozens of lodging spots plus the YMCA and Lutheran Church. Gavin's Steakhouse Buffet is worth the $15 as the food spread is incredible. Nice town with amicable people.

Stay for free at the YMCA grounds if you don't mind spending the night in your tent and don't need a shower. Plenty of laundry and restaurants and other resupply and lodging options.
