I am certainly bias because I own The Station at 19e. I will say my wife and I traveled for 8 years following the weather looking for the perfect weather (CA not included) and Roan Mountain is it! We are the 41st ATC certified community and working very hard to be the friendliest town on the AT. Give us a try!

Mountain Harbour was a fantastic place to stay. But they do not offer shuttles and their resupply options are quite limited and pricy. We got lucky a trail angel was in the area for rides to resupply!

Great town, very hiker friendly.

We weren’t planning on stopping in Roan Mountain, but I’m glad we did. The people were so hospitable and we enjoyed our time at The Station at 19E, Bob’s Dairyland, and the Hikerpalooza festivities. It’s easy to get a shuttle from the Station folks, and the little town is worth a quick stop. Not really a necessary stop, but if you need a few things the resupply is decent.

A great spot to stop for a bit. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is very easy to get stuck here, because they are so accommodating.
