Hilton was a beautiful shelter, the village had a lot of cool spots and views too, but was a bit pricey. Everyone we met was so friendly though! Stopped in at the 'info desk' by the dam for a quick candy bar and got an amazing story about the history!
Stayed at the Fontana Hilton and shuttled in to the village. Looked like a nice little place. Was able to do a full resupply here. The store was very busy. A resupply box sent here from Franklin might not be a bad idea in the future to save a few bucks.
The resupply is poor, but the local dining was fantastic. Hitching was easy - sometimes the official shuttle will pick you up if you're walking to the village from the Hilton or vice versa.
