Easy access points from AT, 2 lodging choices, walk to Kroger grocery/shopping center with WalkAbout Outfitters store, some restaurants, ABC liquor store, Goodwill, and multiple gas stations. I-81 a stones throw away. (Source, I’m from this area)
Super affordable rooms at HoJo's and Super 8. We stayed at Super 8 and the rooms were incredibly nice and only $65 per night. Continental breakfast as well. About a 1/2 mile from there is a Kroger with several restaurants. Hitching has been a challenge but there a shuttle drivers. Brewery about a 5 minute drive as well. Solid town to stay in and resupply.
