It’s worth sending a box here. The walk into town was easy but we were able to hitch. It can be a hot road walk. The one store is next to the PO and lets hikers hang out next to it with picnic tables and fill up water from a spigot. The store is surprisingly cheap but small and limited options. Decent for topping off or a midday snack. Not a bad place to hang in the shade during a hot day.
I sent a box here, but the Warner Springs community center allowed for a standard hiker fare resupply. Lodging is putting up your tent with the rest of the hikers which is free.
Town is a strong word for Warner Springs. The commmunity is amazing and friendly but resupply is limited to a small gas station and closet full of snacks. Best to send a box.
