I was there 2018 and the store had everything the typical backpacker would want as well as plenty of cold drinks. While there wasn’t a post office there exactly they did receive and send boxes for hikers so they were very helpful. There was even a little restaurant there serving breakfast and lunch. We hung out for lunch after picking up our resupply box and mailing some extra food out to another town. They let you repurpose old boxes for that. I didn’t stay so couldn’t judge lodging but I’m sure it was fine.
