Shelter cove is massively underrated. It's easily accessible by trail without hitching and offers a decent (limited and moderate prices) for resupply. The big strategy here is to hover around the hiker box and do most resupply through that, the hiker box is very good with many hikers dumping prime food not realizing how quickly they blaze through Oregon.
The restaurant food is incredible. A large pizza for 24.50 is easily two meals for even the most hungry of hiker. The burgers, fries and salad are also generously portioned for hungry folks.
Camping as it stands is $10 per night. This is the big strike against Shelter Cove. They do recommend hikers can camp for free just outside the resort and offer a PCT cabin equipped with shower and laundry with full kitchen. But for this place to be great, free camping needs to happen.
Overall, this is a great stop that offers a hiker tent with charging and free WiFi, great restaurant food and an OK resupply. Don't miss this spot.
