Super easy hitch. Just texted Grumpy and he was eager to take us into town via Paradise Valley. Lodging was great, campsite is cheap and you can stay there for 5 nights if need be. Silver Pines Lodge is reasonable and a good place to stay as well if campground is full.
I went here twice. Once I was picked up by friends in town and the other I went down Devil’s slide. Personally, I wouldn’t do Devil’s slide again. It wasn’t horrible but it was tiring going down the trail then back up 2.5m each way. The grocery is a tad pricey but works. There’s great food options and the town is super cool and very very hiker friendly. Worth the stop.
Nice hike down with view of suicide rock. What goes down, must go back up. Nice view of suicide rock again, but, it was sticking out of thr cloud layer. Beautiful! Great time in town. Nice accommodations.
This was by far my favorite trail town!
Amazing town to hang out in.
Go to the brewpub! Some of the best beer I’ve had in a minute, get a flight and love life!
Great hiker town. Good resupply and nice bars and coffeeshops in town. Outfitter has wide choice of gear. Cinema in town and the mayor is a dog!
Great hiker friendly town. Reasonably priced lodging, great food and loved the coffee shop!
An excellent hiker town. There are hotels if you want them, but camping at the park is very affordable. There is an outfitter and two grocery stores, so everything you need is there.
a little bougey but a nice town right on trail in a beautiful area. good beer and good area.
