Rutland was an easy hitch from Killington. Someone brought us within a few miles and another gentlemen brought us all the way to the Days Inn but not before stopping at his sugar house and telling us all about his maple sugar making. Anyway, downtown has some good restaurants and a Walmart. The yellow deli is not really accepting people because of the pandemic right now. We grabbed dinner and some beer at the Hop’n Moose and used an Uber to get back to Hannaford for a cheap and full resupply. Rutland has some nice charm and is very hiker friendly. Even if it’s not for a zero it’s worth stopping in.

Highly recommend the Yellow Deli! Take time to enjoy the culture and food there. Walmart, Price Chopper and Dollar tree within short walking distance from it for resupply.
