Woke up to torrential rain, flood warnings and water in the tent. It looked like it was going to be a terrible day but ended up being our favorite day so far. The rain kept going all day but so did we up and over Blood Mt and down into Neel Gap. Yesterday when we had cell signal we made the good decision to reserve a cabin in Neel Gap which turned out to be a life saver since both of us and most of our gear was soaked. The cabins were huge so we allowed a couple of other hikers, Echo and Dr Rad, to pitch in on the cost and stay with us while still getting our own private room.
