February 25, 2021 - Lost Maples

Went on a short backpacking trip with some buddies at lost maples, definitely one of the prettiest places here in Texas from what I’ve seen. The stars and the falls were our favorites, coming back real soon! I hike because there really isn’t a better way to connect with nature than immersing yourself with it. Every time I hike I journal it down along with a tiny keepsake (a leaf, flower, rock,) from my time there. I feel like going for these outings is the best way to live a truly happy life.

Gear Highlights or suggestions -

  • Osprey Aether backpack, you could put rocks in this and barely feel the weight.
  • Eno Single Hammock, an all around great hammock, tiny, light, a great starter!
  • Osprey Waterblatter, you’re going to need one of these for long distance hikes, light and sturdy.
  • Timberland boots, mine are six years old, been to a couple continents, and are still waterproof snd stylin’!

Hope you guys enjoy some of the views and pics, we sure did :)

Hah, they sure do! A quilt is definitely a good choice!

Hahahaha thank you man! I just started being a hammock tenter and the first thing I’m doing now is buying an under quilt! Those boys get cold!!!

Looks awesome! Even though I’m a tent camper I love taking my Eno out for day hikes like this.
