Sulphur spring campground to 420.8 miles

Once again this was a weird day. Woke up with my quilt damp becuase I slept with my rain fly off bc someone told me it was going to be warm. It wasn’t. We were by a stream as well. Hit the trail and it was hot already at 6am and we had climbing. It sucked but easier than yesterday. I hated yesterday. We did 12 miles quickly bc we were promised pizza and they would deliver to the trailhead. 1 mile before we were calling and nobody was delivering so we gave up headed into the siesta. Everyone was bitchin about it at the table. After two hours guess what we fucking saw. A delivery man pulled up and pulled out a box of drinks and 10 individual pizzas. I was baffled. Caleb was baffled. Marc was baffled. The bard was baffled. We went to go ask them they said they got it from the pizza spot. We were like no shit where. Turns out the pizza place was called the pizza spot. Caleb’s morale was so low. After the second delivery guy came an hour later we went to go ask him if we could order from him and then get it delivered. It worked. We were so excited. We waited an hour and a half in the shade under a tree and then god pulled up with a 27 inch pizza and garlic bread. Drooling we opened the glory and basked in its greatness. We each got 4 pieces which were basically a pound each. Mind you we have been under a tree avoiding the heat for 4-5 hours already. We stuffed our faces and rotted with our fat bellies up in the air lounging for another 2 hours it felt like. After we figured out we only had 2.5 miles left in the day to a campground we decided to head out in the next hour. We didn’t realize the bubble was going there as well which was unfortunate. So we booked it for an hour in the heat. I’ve never sweater so much or seen the others sweat so much but we made it up the hill. Found a flat spot on top of the hill with two of the guys we have been in a bubble with for awhile. Gourmet and Adam. Gourmet was talking about joining our group bc he’s around the same age as us. Caleb is 23, I’m 23, the bard is 24, gourmet is 23, and we have the old man Marc at 27. We will see if he joins our group as we are zeroing soon. So a rollercoaster of emotions today. Hopes were up at the beginning and let down after no pizza, then went up once we got pizza, and then down when we had 2.5 miles uphill in the heat at 4:15pm, and then up once we found a campsite. Good day. And more importantly better than yesterday.
