Brutal climb today. Luckily, we slept great and enjoyed a nice breakfast. It was roughly a 6,000 foot climb up with lots of ups and downs. We were walking through a green tunnel with not many views aside from a side spur that led straight up to a view of Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, and Mount St. Adam’s. It was such a site.
The rest of the day was spent going up and down until we hit our last climb - 3,200 feet up to end our 26 mile day. We were paid for our efforts with an amazing view of Mount Hood at our camp site. We’re all cowboyed under the stars. Incredible amount with a clear view of the Milky Way. We even saw a shooting star that spanned the entire sky above us as it streaked across our eyes.
