Mozart's 2024 PCT Thru-Hike

We got up around seven this morning and began our walk closer to eight thirty. It was a fairly flat section with a couple up and downs until we reach our last road walk for this detour. We make it back to the PCT a little before noon and hike a couple miles in before taking lunch.

It’s much better on the feet to walk on the softer earth. We shoot for a 25 mile day today and manage to get to camp around seven. The walk itself wasn’t too crazy but we’re all exhausted nonetheless. I think the sun exposure and concrete took some energy out of us.

On our last climb of the day today, we passed by two white horses with braided manes. Beautiful animals in a truly majestic scenery. We’re now camped at Nannie Ridge Lake. There are a ton of weekend hikers around us today. We feel separated with the camaraderie we’ve built in our group. It now consists of ten people - Spoons, Fly Lord, Squirell, Dreamland, Brandaid, Side Quest, Dice, Candy Crush, Picasso, and myself. Tomorrow, we’ll hit White Pass. Cold beers are in our future.

Happy dreams…
